As you may have guessed from the title, todays blog is all about Silhouettes. The definition of a silhouette is: the dark shape and outline of someone or something visible in restricted light against a brighter b ackground. The first thing that comes to mind is a sunset or sunrise, as you look into the bright sun. When I use the camera in these situations, I've found that it's good to have a clearly discernible shape as a silhouette. For example, a person standing still can come out as a bit of a dark blob, but if you get them to do a star jump, the shape it creates has far more interest in the resulting photo.
